Mizuno presents Countryside: the new Kizuna Pack starring the Contender in three new iterations, each celebrating a different element of life in the countryside as well as the desire to reconnect with nature.

Recently, there has been a shift of focus towards natural living and a return to the roots of the human experience.

A greater consciousness and respect for nature has led to a deeper love and attraction for a life in the countryside.

Opposite to urban living - increasingly expensive and chaotic - the unpretentiousness of the country inspires a sense of tranquillity and reconnection to the simpler things in life. The Countryside Pack is a tribute to the rural living, with each shoe symbolizing a different facet of this lifestyle.

One shoe draws inspiration from the beautiful Japanese rice fields, one from the unique technique of honey production, and another from the simplicity of fruit picking. Collectively the three Contenders represent a celebration of farming and food production. The Kizuna pack’s connection with rural life is elaborated upon in the campaign shoot, which took place in the picturesque landscapes of the Japanese countryside.
